Ulver - Capitel II: Soelen gaaer bag Aase need
This is the first week I’m participating in Metal Mondays (something Andy Weissman at USV has started recently). With that in mind, I figured I’d post a track that most people probably haven’t heard and wouldn’t otherwise hear.
This one is from Ulver’s first album, Bergtatt, circa 1995. If you’re one of those people who have no idea what the heck black metal is, take this one (and the rest of the album) for a spin. Though most of the lyrics are in archaic Danish, it’s still got a great vibe and captures all of the stuff that I love about black metal with some folky parts mixed in.
